Connect Your Bank Account for Verification

Breezy uses secure read-only bank statement technology to verify your income and expenses from your transaction history. You will be directed to a secure portal where you connect your bank account. The system retrieves your statements automatically. Breezy can view your transactions but cannot make any payment, transfer, or other action on your account.

Your online banking login credentials are entered directly into the bank's secure portal, not into Breezy's system. Breezy receives only the resulting read-only transaction data, never your login details.
Step 5

Assessment by the Breezy Team

Once your application and bank statements are received, the Breezy team reviews your income, living expenses, repayment capacity, and existing financial commitments. A credit check is conducted at this stage. Breezy assesses whether the requested loan is suitable for your circumstances in line with responsible lending obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act.

Receive Your Decision

You will be notified of the outcome by email and SMS. If your application is approved, you will receive a link to your loan contract for review. If your application is not approved, Breezy may, where possible, act as a lender-finder and suggest alternative lending options that may better suit your circumstances. You are under no obligation to proceed with any alternative offer.

Review and Sign Your Loan Contract

Read your loan contract carefully before signing. It contains your confirmed interest rate, the exact repayment amount, the repayment schedule, all fees (establishment fee, monthly fee, dishonour fee conditions), and the total amount payable. All of these figures are binding from the moment you sign. Do not sign until you are satisfied with every term in the contract.

Funds Transferred to Your Account

There is no penalty for repaying your loan early. If you have additional funds available at any point — a tax refund, a bonus, or savings — you can settle the outstanding balance and stop all future interest and monthly fee charges from that date.

Not every application will meet the approval criteria, and Breezy is committed to responsible lending. If your application is not approved, you will be notified by email or phone with an explanation where possible.
